Today’s Publix shopping trip was a really quick one. I have had $1.00/2 Bush’s Grillin Beans burning a hole in my coupon folder since last August and I was so excited to use them on the BOGO sale! (If you have the coupons, they expire 6/30/13.) Besides the beans (you know how I love my beans), I wanted to get some Ben & Jerry’s Greek Frozen Yogurt (I’m so thankful my favorite kind is gluten free) and free Sabra Hummus. We bought a few more things and called it a day.
To give all of you an update on my gluten free living, I stopped eating gluten during the first week of January. This past month, I had a few days where I would eat a little of hubby’s pizza or I would eat a handful of gluten filled Chex Mix. Sure enough, I started dealing with some horrible side effects that I haven’t felt since before going off gluten. It was a good reminder to me that I need to stay off of it.
Also – as a reminder, every week my husband and I pick up a large approximately 30 pound bin full of fruits and veggies. That is why you do not see me purchasing much produce at the grocery store. My fridge is always stocked with produce and we get a better deal on produce belonging in the coop than if I purchased everything separate.
