Midweek $5.00 Amazon Gift Code Giveaway!

by Addicted to Saving on June 2, 2010

**UPDATE – a Winner has been chosen – thanks to all who entered!  Hi Fellow Addicts!  It’s time for Addicted to Saving’s mid-week $5.00 Amazon Gift Code Giveaway!!  This week’s giveaway is going to be a fun one!  My video blog for next week will feature me answering your questions  :)   AND, the sky is the limit on the questions I will answer!  I will try to answer as many questions as I can during my next video blog.  How fun is that?  Now for the good part, for every question you ask (up to 3 questions per person) I will give you one entry to the $5.00 Amazon Gift Code Giveaway!  I need you to type your questions for me in the comments section of this post.  And, each comment will count as an entry for the $5.00 Giftcard giveaway!  I will select a winner this Saturday, June 5th at or after 8pm using Random.org.

You can leave me up to three separate questions on this postEach comment will count as one entry

  • Do not lump all of your questions together in one comment because that will count as only one entry.
  • You need to leave separate entries in order to receive more than one entry.  Make sense?
  • Do not email me your questions or type your questions on Addicted to Saving’s facebook page.  They need to be on this post in order to count as an entry.

Good luck and I can’t wait to read your questions!  :)

How long do you keep your Sunday inserts? (I’ve moved to keeping them in a box, not cutting and putting in a binder anymore)

Colleen June 2, 2010 at 4:28 pm

How can we get your business cards to hand out to people to share the Addicted to Saving website? (too many people/cashiers I talk to are tearing off scraps of paper to write down your website!! ha!ha!) :)

Colleen June 2, 2010 at 4:30 pm

What’s the hardest item for you to buy, either due to no coupons (ouch!) or always have low-value coupons for specific items?

Cathy June 2, 2010 at 5:07 pm

Where are you getting these $5 Amazon codes to give away?

Jenn Z. June 2, 2010 at 5:29 pm

Please help to explain how RR work at Walgreens. This confuses me way too much!

Sophia June 2, 2010 at 6:41 pm

How do you deal with difficult cashiers and/or managers?

Sophia June 2, 2010 at 6:43 pm

Do people ever notice you around town from your addictedtosaving website?

Sophia June 2, 2010 at 6:47 pm

Are you a Gator or Noles fan?

Christi June 2, 2010 at 7:02 pm

Are the retailers strict on accepting expired coupons – Is there any “grace period”. If so which stores & how long? (I have Skinny Cow BOGO coupons exp 5/29 and Publix has them on sale tomorrow!)

Christi June 2, 2010 at 7:03 pm

What coupon is “gold” in your opinion that you always jump on?

Christi June 2, 2010 at 7:07 pm

Is there any easy way to “gather” all coupons from a particular site i.e. Coupons.com from your Publix blog to print at one time to save paper? Right now, I click “print,” go to where it may take me and then print one coupon. Then a few entrys later, I might wind up there again, printing another coupon from Coupons.com. Thanks for everything you do for us!!!

MelodyM June 2, 2010 at 7:39 pm

I am always amazed at how much you save at Publix. I think I do pretty well, but I’m still spending $75.00 to $80.00 there a week. How do you trim your spending there so much?

MelodyM June 2, 2010 at 7:39 pm

What do you think about Winn Dixie BOGO’s? They always seem to me to jack up the prices on the individual items when they go BOGO.

MelodyM June 2, 2010 at 7:40 pm

What do you think of Sweetbay? Good deals?

Jenn Z. June 2, 2010 at 7:44 pm

I find it very difficult to get the hot BOGO items! (like the BIC razors) They are always gone when I get there! I’ve heard about people ordering sale items from their stores. Do you do this? How would I go about ordering and is Publix ok with that?

Jenn Z. June 2, 2010 at 7:47 pm

What are the great price points for paper goods and where do you get them? Do you have a list of items and their price points which you buy them?

Mel June 2, 2010 at 7:51 pm

How do you organize your stockpiles? I feel like I need a bigger house to store all of the groceries, toiletries, cleaners, etc that I’ve purchased on great deals!

tanya June 2, 2010 at 8:07 pm

How long does it take you to prepare your list and gather coupons, and how long does it take for you to actually shop for groceries?

Will CVS take ECB if what you are purchasing is over the price and then you just pay the difference?

Cathy June 3, 2010 at 11:27 am

To springboard off Michelle’s comment… I remember a while ago you posted on Facebook about possibly doing coupon trading there. Are there any plans in the works for that? I think local coupon trading would be easier. :-)

Cathy June 3, 2010 at 4:55 pm

How do you eat healthy and only spend ~$10 a week? Is that possible? Most coupons are for prepared/packaged foods it seems to me. But I would like to lose weight and the only way I’ve been successful with that is by eating more natural foods. Thanks ahead of time for any tips you can give!

Theresa June 4, 2010 at 3:18 pm

Would you be willing to do a ‘train the trainer’ type class even if over the phone. I have been asked by some friends at my Y to help them learn. I was recently laid off and am so greatful for knowing how to coupon shop that I would like to pay that forward while I can. Hopefully I will be employed again soon.

Theresa June 4, 2010 at 3:20 pm

What do you do when there are not good deals on a particular week?

Samantha June 4, 2010 at 3:41 pm

You say to subscribe to at least 2 newspapers, ie, Tampa Tribune and St Pete Times… Do you have any deals on getting the newspapers cheap? I don’t really want to fork out $50 to start getting the newspapers.
