Our Adoption Story - We Need Your Help

Too Good to Be True: FREE TopChips Chips Maker

by Addicted to Saving on February 7, 2012

Whelp – if you signed up for the potential freebie that I posted earlier today, you probably received the email that I’ve posted below.  If you didn’t, as a head’s up – the deal I posted this morning was in fact too good to be true.  I had a feeling this may be the case when I wrote, “This may be a mistake and the deal may not be honored.”  Per the email sent out, it looks like the code was a “stolen coupon code.”  I’m not quite sure what that means.. perhaps a select few were emailed the coupon code and then one of the people shared it with friends who shared it with blogs, etc etc?  I’m not sure. Regardless, we will not be seeing the free Chips maker.

Dear Customers,

If you are receiving this email, it is because you placed an order through our web site at www.shopmastrad.com using a stolen coupon code from the Dr. Oz show. The coupon code (DROZ156873258) was for a select few winners of a contest giving away 1000 free Topchips the Chips Maker units. Your name was not on this list. The coupon code is now in-active and any and all orders using that offer code are invalid and were cancelled.

We at shopmastrad.com take this very seriously and will prosecute the offender to the fullest extent of the law.

We do understand your frustration, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We do appreciate all our customers, and we are doing everything possible to prevent this type of theft in the future.

Please email us if you have any questions or comments as we are here to help.

Culinary Regards,
Shopmastrad Customer Service

I got the same email,I feel like I did something wrong when I know I didn’t, it is so annoying to get these bad deals or offers that aren’t any good yet stay on these sites, different sites. Recently a company sent me several expired free coupons for their sugar, expired a month before and I didn’t notice till I tried to use them, I felt like the store thought I did that on purpose, but who worries about coupons when a company sends them, I emailed them about it and they sent another of the same expired coupon, finally I called them so now they say they will send another with no expiration date, we will see.
