Great trip! :)

Are the Scotties Tissues for 4/5.00 an unadvertised sale? I can’t find it listed anywhere… :(

I recently went to my local Publix and attempted to use the $5/$25 save a lot coupon and was told that my order had to be a total of $25.00 after all my coupons had been used… has anyone heard of this? should i be calling someone above store management? i read there policy and no where in there does it state that the order must be $25 after all other coupons have been used. someone please help

What does the fine print on the Save a lot coupon say? That **could** be where they are getting that from. Do they do that with the Publix $5 off coupons as well? The Sweetbay coupons do say that your total has to be $30 after all discounts and coupons. So it could be the same type of thing.

Your cashier was wrong. I’d go take the coupon and your receipt to customer service and ask for a manager to take the $5 off for you. Cashiers are not always aware of how different coupons work. For example, the $5/30 Winn Dixie coupons are 1 per transaction, meaning you can break up your order. All the managers at my Publix agree on that, but some of the cashiers have to ask because they think that they are 1 per customer. Don’t be afraid to assert that you disagree and ask for a manager to resolve the question. Nicely. Assert nicely :)

Thanks for the help. I re-read the save a lot coupon and it doesn’t mention anthing about the total being $25 after discounts and coupons…. I will defenitley be calling whomever is above the store manager. The night I went the gentleman told me he was the store manager… He was actually kinda of rude as I would speak you could tell he was paying no attention to me and keep saying ummm hmmmm ummm hmmmm… And still refused to use my coupon 0_o first time I have encountered someone like this at a publix supermarket…. They are usually really nice.

I have had the same thing happen to me at a Publix that accepts both Sweetbay and Winn Dixie coupons. First was with the Sweetbay coupon which I read and did state that the $30 was after coupons. With the Winn Dixie coupon, I showed the cashier that it did not state that it was after coupons. She took the coupon, but said that from now on I could not use it at the store. She said that corporate was cracking down on coupons. I have not had this problem at any other stores that accept Winn Dixie in my area. I think I am going to contact Publix corporate and get clarification on this policy, and then I will take the written policy with me to the store with the corporate response.
