Walgreens Scenarios 8/26/12 – 9/1/12

by Addicted to Saving on August 25, 2012

This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Register Rewards at Walgreens. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your RRs from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

To see this week’s Walgreens Weekly Ad and Coupon Matchups, go HERE.

Transaction #1

Buy one Renew Life Heartburn Out, $10 (you will receive $10 RR)
Buy one Stayfree Ultra Thin Overnight Pads 14 ct, $1.99
Minus one $2/1 Stayfree Product, exp. 10/15/12 (SS 08/26/12)
If you have left over RRs from last week use them here!
Total Spent: $9.99
Receive: $10 RR

Transaction #2

Buy one Zentrip Motion Sickness Prevention 8 pk thin strips, $3 (you will receive $3 RR)
Buy one Help I Have a Blister, $3.99 (you will receive $3 RR)
Buy one Crest ProHealth Clinical Toothpaste, $3.49 (you will receive $2.50 RR)
Buy one PaperMate Pens 10 pk, $0.29
Minus one $0.75/1 Crest Toothpaste or Liquid Gel, exp. 8/31/12 (P&G 07/29/12)
Minus $10 RR from Transaction #1
Total Spent: $0.02
Receive: $3 RR, $3 RR, $2.50 RR

Transaction #3

Buy one Gillette ProFusion Razor, $9.99 (you will receive $4 RR)
Buy two Wexford 2 pocket folders, $0.09 each
Minus one $4/1 Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor, exp. 9/30/12 (RP 08/12/12)
Minus $3 RR & $3 RR from Transaction #2
Total Spent: $0.17
Receive: $4 RR

Total Remaining RRs to apply towards next week’s ad: $4 RR & $2.50 RR

Total Out of Pocket for 3 transactions: $10.19+ applicable taxes for approximately $33.00 in products. And if you use RRs from last week in Transaction #1 you will save even more!

**Also – Don’t forget that your RRs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your RRs towards paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, etc which are hard to get dirt cheap!
