CVS Scenarios 12/09/12 – 12/15/12

by Addicted to Saving on December 8, 2012

New here? Like us on Facebook below:

Here are this week’s scenarios for CVS. This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Extra Care Bucks at CVS. Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your Extra Care Bucks from one scenario to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

If you are new to shopping at CVS, go HERE to read Intro to CVS.

To see this week’s CVS Weekly Ad go HERE.

Transaction #1

Buy one Advil Congestion Relief 10 ct, $4.99
Buy one Dimetapp, $4.99 (you will receive $3 ECB for buying both)
Minus one $2/1 Advil Congestion Relief printable
Minus one $2/1 Dimetapp Product printable
If you have left over ECBs from last week use them here!
Total Spent: $5.98
Receive: $3 ECB

Transaction #2

Buy two Thermacare Heat Wraps, $13.98 (you will receive $4 ECB)
Minus two $3/1 ThermaCare Product printable
Minus $3 ECB from Transaction #1
Total Spent: $4.98
Receive: $4 ECB

Transaction #3

Buy two Colgate Total Toothpaste, 2/$5.50 (you will receive $2 ECB)
Minus two $0.50/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 12/22/12 (SS 12/02/12)
Minus $4 ECB from Transaction #2
Total Spent: $0.50
Receive: $2 ECB

Total Remaining ECBs to apply towards next week’s ad: $2 ECB

Total Out of Pocket for 3 transactions: $11.46 + applicable taxes for approximately $30.00 in products. And if you used left over ECBs in Transaction #1 you will save even more!

**Also – Don’t forget that your ECBs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire and you want to use them now, I would put your ECBs towards paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, etc which are hard to get dirt cheap!

I was finally able to print it by clicking on “Pfizer special offers” at the top of their page rather then clicking the ad on the left. Thanks for responding. Have a great day.
