This week at Walgreens, Quaker 1 Minutes Oats are $3.19 each. Buy 4 cartons.

At least 85% of the time, when I order anything online, I get cashback. The amount of money I get back depends on the store.. sometimes it’s 10% sometimes it’s 2%.. it varies. So far, I’ve received two checks in the mail, both of them totalling $58.00. Does this sound too good to be true? Go Here to check it out. My favorite couponing how-to website which matches up Publix’s weekly sales with coupons is Southern Savers. I spoke with Jenny, the writer/blogger/coupon matching guru from Southern Savers and she has given me permission to copy my favorite sales from her weekly internet site! This is very exciting. I’ve been saving over 50% of my grocery bills for the past 4 months in part because of her excellent website. Photo Show and Tell for CVS & Walgreens on 10/25

Walgreens & CVS 10/25

There actually wasn’t a ton of sales items jumping out at me this week for CVS and Walgreens. However, I had ECBs and RRs that were expiring and I didn’t want to throw money away by letting them expire. So I hit up both stores and in less than an hour, I had purchased pretty much $85.00 worth of products for a grand total of $4.96 out of pocket. (I did use ECBs and RRs towards my purchase as well as manufacturer coupons.) The best part is that I now have $10 in ECBs and $10 in RRs to use for a future purchase!

CVS purchases: 6 Dove Ultimate Deoderants, 4 Campbells Soups.
Total Spent: $2.97, Total Saved: $33.20, Earned $10.00 in ECBs for future purchases!
Walgreens purchases: 1 Zantac, 4 Dove Shampoo, 4 Dove Conditioner, 3 Butterfingers, 1 Snickers (Didn’t want the candy bars but needed filler items)
Total Spent: $1.99, Total Saved: $47.35, Earned $10.00 in RRs for future purchases.

Couponing for Beginners

Below are step-by-step instructions for beginning the process of saving. You do not need to accomplish and conquer each step immediately. Start slowly so that you don’t get overwhelmed. The goal with couponing is to have a huge stockpile of coupons to use. That way, each week when your grocery store or drugstore releases their weekly sales, you will have enough of a stash to go through in order to match the sales with coupons. If you are just starting cut coupons now, it will only take a few weeks for your coupon stash to be all encompassing. As always, email me or post any questions you might have.

Step 1: Gather at least 2 newspapers every Sunday. I personally will have at least 2 Sunday papers, but when I feel particularly adventurous, I will get 4 or 6 sets. Always get an even number of papers so you have an even number of duplicate coupons. Also, save all of your coupons since you never know when you can use your coupons with an excellent sale to score dirt-cheap or even free items!

Saving for Beginners

My goal for this website is to empower you with the tools necessary to save money. Not only will you save money, but you will purchase more than ever with each dollar you spend.
