Publix Weekly Ad 9/22/11-9/29/11

by Addicted to Saving on September 19, 2011

I don’t know guys - I’m still not that excited yet again about this ad! Hopefully you will be more excited about this ad than I am? What do you think of this week’s ad? Please leave a comment if you see any missing coupons, deals or typos! This week, I am giving you the Tampa ad-scan. As the days go on, I will update this ad.

******Seven Main Notes to my readers :
1) If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post.
2) From time to time the print limit will be reached on printable coupons. You will know the print limit has been reached if you go to print a coupon and you receive an error message, a message stating you have already printed the coupon, or you just don’t see the coupon.
3) When Publix has a Buy One Get One Sale, in order for Floridians to receive the second item free, we have to buy both items. Many other states only have to buy one item and they will get that one item for half (50%) off. Most matchups below are based on “True BOGOs.”
4) For Floridians, if we use coupons 50 cents or less, our coupons are not doubled. Many other states will double coupons as long as they are 50 cents or less.
5) Publix accepts competitor store coupons! HOWEVER, each Publix accepts different competitors based on the proximity of the competitor’s location. Ask your Publix who they consider as competitors.
6) If you live in Florida, our sales cycle starts on Thursdays
7) To see Publix’s color full ad, go Here!

**Also – make sure you click the link at the bottom of this post that says “Display All Matchups”

Wouldn’t the best deal for the Emerald’s nuts be to use (2) of the $1.10/1 RedPlum printables? Then they would each be $1.80, right?

Not excited in the least bit over this ad. :(

Oooh! I found a good deal. Vocalpoint had a Fresh Express Salad promotion a while ago and the coupons were for a free bag of salad and three 1.00 off. Just found mine, that will make for free and cheap salad :)

The Stocking Spree coupon for Maxwell House Coffee is for the 31.5-34.5 oz can, not the 11 oz can that is on sale this week.

There is a combination angel soft and sparkle coupon in the Publix one stop one store coupon booklet. I’m not sure if it matches up to the sparkle paper towels on sale but I’m pretty sure it matches up with the toilet paper.

Reply

Tanya September 21, 2011 at 9:05 pm

It does match with the Angel Soft, so you can use all 3 coupons. $1/1 Target coupon, $.50/1 (my insert didn’t have the $1/1) manufacturer coupon, and $1/1 Publix coupon for a total of $2.99 ;)

According to public coupon policy only one competitor or public coupon will be taken for the same item. So max you can stack is two at any given time which is one store and one manufacture or one competitor and one manufacture. I was told that by manager and given it to me in print from the store.

I agree, I am not excited at all.

When did Fresh Express salad bags increase in price to $4.69? They are still $3.99 at my Publix and $3.99 on Publix Curbside.

Addicted to Saving September 21, 2011 at 1:02 pm

Hi Steve! I double checked the price in my ad-scan and it says “up to $4.69″ .. So, you may find that less expensive bags of salad are included in the BOGO sale?

There is a coupon for the Arm and Hammer toothpaste here:

http://www.armandhammer.com/Resources/SavingsCenter.aspx

It is for $1.50/2. That will make it $1.49 for 2 toothpastes, @ $0.75/each.. not bad if you really need some and I’m almost out and that’s the only kind I use. :)

Thanks Mary! Just added the coupon to my matchups! :)

The 4 top items on your list are about the only interesting things for me this month. Bertolli pasta sauce is a decent price but I’m stocked up on Newman’s Own from 2 weeks ago and Barilla from last week. What’s up with all the pasta sauce sales??? Wonder if I should buy more and have plenty until 2013? :)

Since the emerald nut coupons both say one per transaction and they are different coupons, can we use one $1.10 coupon and one $1.00 coupon to make it $1.85 each?

Reply

Addicted to Saving September 19, 2011 at 9:15 pm

Hi Lauren! Yup - you should be able to use the $1/1 and the $1.10/1 in one transaction :)

What zip code are you using to be able to print the ritz munchables couon? I don’t seem to see it. I’m 32025.

Quick question, did you get any of those regional perdue chicken coupons, or do you know of any other coupons out there? I don’t have any in my coupon booklet.

What is the “Kashi booklet”? I have seen this written in other places on the web. When I contacted Kashi about a coupon booklet, they wrote back saying they don’t offer anything like that.

Thanks.

I can’t find the Smart Balance milk coupon…do you know if it is gone? There used to be a coupon every week in the paper…I love that milk for my kids.
