Walmart does not allow overage — at least on the 2 branches I went to before. I tried to buy the reach floss before for 0.97 and using the $1/1 coupon, it did not accept it.

Gilbert, you’re right. It’s a store by store basis.

On a different note, I was able to use the 2 $1/1 coupons in Dollar Tree and got myself 2 packs of Bic pens (10/pk). So 20 more free pens and paid no tax. WOO HOO…:)

Nice work, Gilbert! 😉

“If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.”
I just cut and pasted this from Walmart.com’s coupon policy. They don’t like to do it, but this is their corporate policy and should be allowing you overage.

Handy to take with you! 🙂
