This is my monthly reminder to you to send me your March expired coupons for Couponing for the Troops! As you know, I send all of your expired coupons to a military base in Vicenza, Italy. Overseas military bases are able to use expired coupons that are up to 6 months old. How awesome is that!?!
**You can watch me on Fox 13 when they interviewed me about Couponing for the Troops HERE
As always, a huge thank you to everyone for sending me your coupons every month! I know that you have to pay for postage and I appreciate your generosity. Also – because of the huge volume of envelopes and boxes we receive, I can not confirm that we received your shipment. I hope that you understand!
Below are the requirements if you are interested in with Addicted to Saving’s Couponing for the Troops. I ask that you please take the time to sort and cut your coupons per the instructions below:
1) Mail your expired coupons to: Addicted to Saving, PMB 105, 8348 Little Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34654
2) Send me all coupons that expired ON or AFTER March 1st. (Commissaries will accept older expireds, but I’m only sending one month old coupons since I do this once a month)
3) Do not send me printable coupons and do not send store coupons (i.e. Target, Publix, Walgreens etc) because commissaries overseas will not accept them.
4) Please Please Please cut your coupons out and then separate your coupons into two categories Food & Nonfood. If you mail all of your coupons to me in one envelope, use an elastic or paperclip to keep the two categories separated. Food is considered anything eaten by humans.. Food is also considered gum. Nonfood is considered toiletries, dogfood or catfood (since it’s not consumed by humans), vitamins, medicine, etc. Again – please cut your coupons.
That’s it! I will do the rest of the work! I need all of your expired March coupons in my hand by April 15th!

Thanks for coming to Addicted to Saving! Here’s a little bit about me so you can know who’s behind all these posts!
My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. I launched Addicted to Saving in November of 2009 and it has grown by leaps and bounds. Since then, my hubby and I have struggled with the ups and downs of two failed adoptions and are now LOVING being parents to our little man Asher who we brought home from Ethiopia in August of 2013. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to help you save money. My goal is that you will have FUN and become empowered to save more and more money each week..

I have coupon sections still from which I cut the coupons I’m going to use, but still have the rest of the current coupons in the section. Can you use those if I cut them out? Guess you could send them when they are expired?
Hi Patti! I can send active coupons too 🙂 So yes - feel free to send them. They will be used!
Vitamins and Medicine are consumed by human, so are they food or non-food?? Sorry, I wasn’t clear from your post.
thanks for doing this, what a blessing to those military familes.
Hi Sissy! Thanks for contributing! Vitamins and medicine are considered non-food. I know that doesn’t totally make sense since you do consume them.. I didn’t set the sorting criteria 🙂

Hey Patti, I had a question. I am really interrested in helping with this project. It is very dear to my heart. I would not, in any way, want to take away from your idea to do this but I was wondering if I could present the idea to my church family and have them give coupons. We have ALOT of couponers at my church!!!! I also did not know if you had started a Facebook page but that is a VERY good way to get the news out about what you are doing!! I would love to help in any way that I can so please let me know!!!

Thank you for organizing this for the troops. I just sent you an envelope full today. It’s nice to know that the coupons can still be used.
Thank you so much Tracy for taking the time to send them to me! It’s a small thing but it’s SOMEthing we can do for our troops. 🙂
